project roles define the privileges that control how users interact with a blueprint project — what they can access and modify project roles are assigned to project groups, giving all group members the corresponding privileges navigate to settings > projects > select a project > user management > project roles ⓘ to view project roles, users must have either the view groups, project roles, and project role assignments privilege in their project administrator role, or the administer all projects privilege in their instance administrator role see settings & administration docid\ jeqi 1btcy22hbsirmvqy for more information project roles control what users can do within a project project administrator roles and instance administrator roles control what users can do within administration for a full list of available privileges for project administrators, see project administrator roles and privileges docid 1gu meoiox rruxjs nnu the page lists all project roles for that project click any column header to sort click a role name to open its detail page, which shows the role description all associated privileges (indicated by selected checkboxes) the associated project administrator role and its description, if assigned note, project administrator roles are defined under instance level user management as explained here project administrator roles docid\ kbpq4nweev7ifrqnl9k9y project group assignments tab — all groups assigned to the role see manage project group assignments docid\ asqsbnnmzedfc5b2ydiha create a project role navigate to settings > projects > select a project > user management > project roles click add project role click the default name in the header and enter a name for the role enter a description in the description field to give other administrators context when managing roles in the privileges section, select the checkboxes for each privilege to include optionally, select an associated project administrator role all project groups assigned to this role will inherit that project administrator role the project administrator role description field populates automatically click save edit a project role navigate to settings > projects > select a project > user management > project roles click the role you want to edit click the name in the header to rename it click the description field to update it in the privileges section, select or clear checkboxes as needed to change the associated project administrator role, select a different role in that field click save copy a project role navigate to project roles and click the role you want to copy click copy update the name, description, privileges, and associated project administrator role as needed click save delete a project role ⚠️ deleting a project role may remove privileges from all users associated with that role consider reassigning affected users to another project role before proceeding navigate to project roles and click the role you want to delete click delete , then click ok to confirm delete multiple project roles navigate to project roles and select the checkboxes for each role you want to delete click actions > delete click ok to confirm
