When users are unassigned from an Instance Administrator Role, they are no longer able to access the Admin Portal. If you still want users to be able to access the Admin Portal, consider assigning them to a different Instance Administrator Role.

To unassign users from an Instance Administrator Role:

1. In the Administration Portal, click **User Management** and then select **Instance Administrator Roles** in the side panel. For information on how to access the Admin Portal, see [About the Administration Portal](docId\:aLbD8Z84lBz7JCfOAlGu5).

2. In the Instance Administrator Roles page displayed, click the role you want to unassign users from.

3. In the page displayed with the role's details, click the **User Assignments** tab.

4. Select the checkbox for the user or users you want to unassign from the role.
   You can also use the search bar at the top of the table to search for the specific users you want to unassign from the role.
5. Click the **Actions** dropdown and select **Delete**.

6. A warning modal is displayed indicating that when users are unassigned from an Instance Administrator Role, they are no longer able to access the Admin Portal. If you still want users to be able to access the Admin Portal, consider assigning them to a different Instance Administrator Role.
   Click **OK** in the warning modal to proceed.
