A folder is a type of artifact solely used to organize your project.

# Folder Artifact Properties

By default, a document artifact contains the following system properties:

| **Property**    | **Description**                                                         |
| --------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Name**        | Indicates the name of the folder                                        |
| **Type**        | Indicates the type of artifact                                          |
| **Id**          | Provides a unique identifier for the folder. The Id cannot be modified. |
| **Description** | Provides a description of the folder                                    |

Folders can have their own relationships, discussions, files, and history.
