To add an inline trace in a rich text field for an artifact:

1. In the Description field for an artifact, click the Links menu (:inlineImage[]{src="https://files.helpdocs.io/4rdnduk17o/other/1567104442343/links-menu.png" alt caption width="29" height="17"}) and select **Inline Traces**.

2. In the Add Inline Trace modal, search for and select the artifact you want to trace to, and select **Add**.

The trace relationship is established and visible under the Relationships tab in the Utility Panel.
