In the Administration Portal, you can define the makeup of the documents you generate, as well as the artifacts you export to a Word or PDF document at the project level, by creating and uploading project templates. It might be beneficial to use this feature if you are creating templates specific to a particular project in your instance.

You can also upload templates at the instance level. For more information on uploading templates at the instance level, see [Templates](docId\:Z0R3fiRqLLfW-7jGKNCs4).

In Blueprint you can only upload template files. Creating template files is performed outside Blueprint. For more information, see [Author Document Templates](docId\:FjALBJL5rydC1Czy265oO).

Two types of Project Templates can be defined:

- Project-level Office Document Templates - the templates that determine the elements Blueprint pulls when [generating a document.](docId\:XzgUJL6KsLxiRMeFXV8Jx)
- Project Print Templates - the templates that determine the elements Blueprint pulls when [exporting artifacts to Word or PDF.](docId\:abI-V98I2BBwg00aECt2j)

To access and manage Project Templates in Blueprint:

1. In the Administration Portal, click **Projects** and select the project you want to view Project Templates for.

2. Under **Projects**, click **Advanced Settings** and select **Project Templates**.
