This article assumes you've already set a scope and generated rules. See [Using Rules](docId\:LN7dxyAELvPD89ii09xOZ).
:::

The Rules CSV sheet gives users full access to the Rules table. This should only be used by experienced users or with the assistance of Blueprint Support Team.

Using the Rules CSV has three basic stages:

1. Export CSV mapping sheet from Blueprint
2. Configure or add Rules
3. Import CSV mapping sheet into Blueprint

***

# Export CSV

From the Rules dashboard, click **Advanced -> Export Rules to CSV**

# Columns Explained

Each Rule type uses a different set of columns. Each Rule type throughout these Help Docs will detail each applicable column in its respective CSV section.

# Rows Explained

A row exists for every parameter for a given Rule. For example, if a custom action has two inputs: NumOne and NumTwo, and has one output: NumOut, there will be three rows for the custom action in the CSV file. Each column will repeat for except for: S*ourceParameterName, SourceParameterType, SourceParameterDataType, SourceParameterValue TargetParameterName, TargetParameterType, TargetParameterDataType, TargetParameterValue*. These values can be different for each parameter.

***

# Configure or Add Rules

Modifications to Rules are made directly in the CSV sheet. To add Rules, create new rows that describe your new Rules, save, and then import to update.

***

# Import CSV

From the Rules dashboard, click **Advanced -> Import Rules from CSV**
