Project Roles define the privileges that control how users interact with a Blueprint project — what they can access and modify. Project Roles are assigned to Project Groups, giving all group members the corresponding privileges.

Navigate to **Settings** -> **Projects** -> *select a project* -> **User Management** -> **Project Roles**.

:::hint{type="info"}
ⓘ To view Project Roles, users must have either the **View Groups, Project Roles, and Project Role Assignments** privilege in their Project Administrator Role, or the **Administer All Projects** privilege in their Instance Administrator Role. See [Settings & Administration](docId\:JeQi_1BtcY22hBSIrMVQY) for more information.

Project Roles control what users can do *within a project*.
Project Administrator Roles and Instance Administrator Roles control what users can do *within administration*.

For a full list of available privileges for Project Administrators, see [Project Administrator Roles and Privileges](docId:1gU-meOIox_RRuXJS-nnU).

The page lists all Project Roles for that project. Click any column header to sort. Click a role name to open its detail page, which shows:

- The role description
- All associated privileges (indicated by selected checkboxes)
- The associated Project Administrator Role and its description, if assigned. Note, Project Administrator Roles are defined under Instance-level User Management as explained here: [Project Administrator Roles](docId\:Kbpq4NWeEV7IFRqNl9k9y)
- **Project Group Assignments** tab — all groups assigned to the role. See [Manage Project Group Assignments](docId\:AsqSbnnMZEdFc5b2YdiHA)
