Once a PAD flow has been imported to Blueprint and its Copilot information generated, it can be added to a Microsoft Copilot Agent in minutes — enabling the agent to trigger real automation work on demand.

***

# Step 1: Find the Desktop Flow

If you don't already know which flow you want to add, locate it using any of the following:

- Filters in the main flow list
- Navigation from the main dashboard
- The **Find with AI** search bar at the top right of the flow list
- The [AI Navigator](docId\:oNEwSpQa377SwQlMyXyLe), available at the bottom right of the screen

***

# Step 2: Generate Copilot Information

::::WorkflowBlock
:::WorkflowBlockItem
Open the flow and select the **Agent Descriptions** tab
:::

:::WorkflowBlockItem
In the Copilot area, click **Generate with AI**. Blueprint automatically fills in all required Copilot information using GenAI

ⓘ If you located the flow using the AI Navigator, you can also generate the Agent Description directly from within the AI Navigator.
:::

***

# Step 3: Add the Flow to a Copilot Agent

With the Copilot information generated, add the flow to your agent using either method:

- Select **Add to Agent** from the **Actions** dropdown at the top right of the flow page
- Select **Add to Agent** from the AI Navigator after selecting the flow

A dialog appears where you select the Copilot Agent and the PAD Connection Reference to use. Click **Continue** — the Copilot Agent is now configured to use the Desktop Flow.

## Connection References

A Connection Reference is a Power Apps solution component that acts as a pointer to a connection for a specific connector. It allows flows in a solution to use a connection in a centralized, manageable way.

To set up a Connection Reference for Desktop Flows:

:::::WorkflowBlock
::::WorkflowBlockItem
Open Power Automate Desktop **-> Settings -> Machine Settings** and confirm your machine is connected to Power Automate

If it isn't, click **Connect** and follow the prompts to register your machine with your Power Automate environment before continuing
:::
::::

:::WorkflowBlockItem
Go to [make.powerautomate.com](https://make.powerautomate.com), open **Connections**, click **New Connection**, and select **Desktop Flows**. Configure the connection.
:::

:::WorkflowBlockItem

:::WorkflowBlockItem
Click **New Connection**
:::

:::WorkflowBlockItem
